Key Components of 8th CPC Salary Structure

Fitment Factor and Basic Pay: Under the 8th Pay Commission, the fitment factor is expected to range between 1.83 and 2.46, potentially increasing the minimum basic pay for all government employees and pensioners.

Allowances: Dearness Allowance (DA) will merge with the basic pay upon implementation of the 8th pay commission. HRA and TA are expected to be recalculated based on the new basic pay.

Pension Reforms: Pension amounts are anticipated to be enhanced. The minimum ₹9,000 pension could rise to ₹20,500–₹25,740. NPS contributions will likely increase with revised salaries.
